Tuition

1:1 and small group (up to 4 people) tuition on most aspects of ceramics

Whatever your experience with clay, we can tailor your time with us to suit your needs; from intensive sessions throwing on the wheel, experimental hand-building, learning a wide range of surface decoration techniques to making your own glazes and firing, including raku.

£65 per person for a half day

Mornings 9.30-12.30am
Afternoons 1-4pm
Price includes firing and glazing your best piece.

Maximum 4 people per session

Self directed, with support when required

£25 per session. Buy your own clay and a small charge for firing on a pro rata basis

Located in the heart of Ashdown Forest

Ashdown Pottery is located on the edge of the village of Fairwarp, in the heart of the southern end of Ashdown Forest. There are lovely walks in every direction from the pottery and the Foresters Arms, a traditional village pub serving great food and drink, is only a hundred yards away.
